| Sony Memory Stick |
Memory Stick is a silicon flash memory card from Sony designed as data storage for a wide range of IT-related use (digital cameras, digital music players, digital voice recorders and many other devices that store digital information.). Introduced in 1998 by Sony, MS offers high capacity, allows high-speed data read/write and copyright protection of contents and application specifications.
The Sony Memory Stick is guaranteed to work with any Sony devices. To provide an advanced media format that includes various capabilities and expandability, such as high capacity, high-speed technology and data protection technology, Sony Corporation and SanDisk developed Memory Stick PRO.
Memory Stick Duo applies this concept as well, and makes it possible to use with smaller products such as cellular phones, portable music terminals, and informational terminals.
Memory Stick Duo has the same specifications, except its size, and can be used in the same way as a Memory Stick using Memory Stick Duo adapter.
Sony Memory Sticks are currently available with storage capacities ranging from 32MB up to 8GB.
Manufactured by Sony, SanDisk, and Lexar,
